A series of info sessions will help you get familiar with applying to college. In the past, sessions have included the following topics:
Individual College Information Sessions
College reps present about their college, the campus, programs unique to the college, campus life and more. These are in-depth presentations that will give you a detailed overview to help you with your college decision.
How to pay for college
Have you thought about how you will finance your college education? Learn how to get off to the right start with some planning and information on what kind of Financial Aid is available. Learn about OSAP, scholarships, bursaries — ways to pay for your post-secondary education.
Career Planning Workshop
Learn how to use Career Planning Tools to help you assess your interests, research the world of work, and plan an education that fits your career goals.
College Degrees
Did you know that colleges offered degrees? This Information Session provides an overview about Degrees offered at Ontario colleges and a panel of representatives from the Central Region colleges will talk about degrees available at their institutions.
How to Apply for College
Are you nervous about applying to college? In this Information Session, we will take you through the application process and transcript submission process step-by-step so you will see how straight-forward it is if you are prepared.
Credit Transfer in Ontario Post-Secondary
Want to learn how to transfer your credits among Ontario’s colleges and universities? This session will show you how to discover transfer opportunities on ONTransfer.ca, and will highlight some of the site’s key features. Find out how to search for pathways and course transfers, how to save your searches, and who to contact for help.
GETTING TO OCF
Enercare Centre | 100 Princes’ Blvd #1, Toronto, M6K 3C3
- Take the Gardiner Expressway West
- Exit at Spadina/Lake Shore Boulevard cutoff
- Follow the signs for Lake Shore Boulevard
- Take Lake Shore Boulevard to the Princes’ Gates (just west of Strachan Avenue)
- Take the Gardiner Expressway East
- Exit Jameson Rd to Lakeshore Boulevard East
- There are three entrance points (at the traffic lights) to Exhibition Place from Lake Shore Boulevard:
- British Columbia Drive
- Ontario Drive
- Newfoundland Drive
There are two stations on Exhibition Grounds and numerous parking locations both above and below ground.
29 Dufferin Bus
Take the Bloor subway to Dufferin Station, board the #29 bus south to Exhibition Place.
511 Bathurst Streetcar
Take the Bloor subway to Bathurst Station, board the #511 streetcar south to Exhibition Place. There are two streetcar stops at Exhibition Place, at Strachan Avenue, and adjacent to the Horse Palace/GO Station.
509 Harbourfront Streetcar
Take the Yonge-University subway to Union Station and proceed to the Queens Quay platform.
Board the #509 streetcar west to Exhibition Place. There are two streetcar stops at Exhibition Place, at Strachan Avenue, and adjacent to the Horse Palace/GO Station.
School buses can drop off and pick up students. Buses need to register ahead of time to ensure parking will be available.
